In my own experience, I had a detailed plan about the way my adult life would go and where I wanted to end up at my age. Life grabbed me by the hand and pulled me up, down, and along paths I didn't know existed and probably never would have traveled, only to deposit me in the place I always hoped I would end up, only not by the route I had planned to take.
